Our Mission is to pioneer new and innovative ministries and ministry concepts via the Internet in order to more effectively reach this generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that:
"If we [Christians] do not reckon with this tool [the Internet] and reach them NOW, we will soon realize, sadly -- too late, that we have lost a generation"
To accomplish our mission, we will seek to:
Create an awareness among Christians in general, and especially among those in ministry, of the significance of the Internet as a media for ministry as opposed to (only) a medium of information; and,
Develop and Implement new and innovative methods of and tools for ministry, utilizing the Internet as a native media for ministry; and,
Encourage a greater sense of global unity among Believers (Christians), by establishing an interactive community of Believers that transcends race, culture, language, or doctrinal differences, embracing the words of Jesus in John 17:20-21, and the words of Paul in Galations 3:26-28, to wit:
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17:20-21
"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male no female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galations 3:26-28; and,
Bridge the gap between "electronic ministry" and "personal contact ministry", bringing a greater level of unity to Believers (Christians) and more effectively reaching this generation with the Message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and,
Communicate our world view and vision that:
- We must utilize the Internet in order to effectively evangelize this generation with the Message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and,
- The Internet is a legitimate "mission field", (we believe, the greatest "mission field" of opportunity that has ever existing on this planet) and,
- If we, as Christians (the Church, the Body of Christ, the sum total of Believers on the planet) are to effectively reach this generation, we MUST reach them via the Internet in addition to other means.
There was a generation that grew up with radio. The "church" (the sum total of Believers on this planet, by whatever term the reader may use to describe them) did not recognize that potential or seize it early on.
There was a generation that grew up with television. The "church's" response was equally complacent at first.
We must not procrastinate now with the Internet!
If we miss THIS opportunity, we will be in the unfortunate role of playing "catch-up", while others who do not share the values and truths we cherish have already marked the territory, and turned this generation even further away from God.
That is the "bottom line" as we see it, and the focus of this ministry's passion to reach "this generation" (the sum total of persons living on this planet at this time as opposed to any other time in history) with the message of Jesus Christ.
Please read the article, "A Generation is Waiting" by E-MIN Founder and President, G. Randall Vaughn.
This article communicates the passion and vision that "drives" this ministry and explains why we absolutely MUST recognize the Internet as not only a medium of information, but as the greatest mission field and media for ministry the world has ever known if we are to effectively reach this generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Some have said that E-MIN has an unusual and unique view of the world. We would like to share that view with you.
This unique view of the world is a key factor in the mission and vision of this ministry. The focus of this view is the "virtual" world called the Internet.
The Internet is a "mission field"
We believe the Internet is the greatest "mission field" that has ever existed on this planet. It is a "virtual" world, largely unrecognized as such by the majority of Christians and Christian ministries.
This "virtual" world is composed of graphics, websites, and hardware, however, the people who live, work, and play in this "virtual" world are REAL. The decisions they make in this "virtual" world are REAL -- and those decisions have eternal consequences.
They are the reason we do what we do.
E-MIN is a "missions ministry"
God has given us a very clear "vision" of our purpose and calling, where we are to go, and how we are to accomplish it.
We believe that E-MIN Global Ministries is, by best definition, a missions ministry whose "call" and "mission" is to take the message of Jesus Christ to the "mission field" we call the Internet.
The Internet is a media for ministry
Only a "handful" of Christian ministries today have the vision to see the Internet as a media for ministry (as opposed to a medium of information).
Contrary to popular opinon, we do not believe that just having a website on the Internet is equivalent to ministry on the Internet.
We believe that Christians MUST understand that the Internet is a true media for ministry because...
"There is an entire generation (living today) ...that never knew life before the Internet"
"If we do not reckon with this tool and reach them NOW, we will soon realize, sadly -- too late, that we have lost a generation."
